In “A ‘Direct Threat’ to Democracy,” Laura Murchie, DLU’s immigration attorney, states, “The immigration system has always been ableist,” says Murchie, acknowledging that the current political climate is not entirely to blame, “but the Trump administration is very, very ableist.”
