About Disability Law United internships
Disability Law United encourages internship applications from law students who are interested in social change and in hands-on, client-centered learning at a legal nonprofit. We welcome intern applications throughout the year for experiences ranging in duration from one to three months.
Legal interns at Disability Law United have the opportunity to have client contact, to develop legal and factual research, and to support fast-moving and innovative systems-change litigation and individual representation. Disability Law United has been a proud host of law student interns for many years and we are dedicated to offering strong mentorship as part of our internship program. We highly value the talents and contributions of law student interns and seek to be diverse and inclusive.
About Disability Law United
Disability Law United was established in 2013 to conduct impact litigation and engage in outreach, education, and proactive investigation. Through large-scale class action lawsuits and individual cases, as well as education efforts, Disability Law United works to ensure that everyone can fully and independently participate in our nation’s civic life without discrimination based on race, gender, disability, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation or gender identity. Disability Law United’s education and enforcement work and nearly all our current cases fall under the Immigration Detention Accountability Project (IDAP) or under the Accessibility Project.
