Join us for a live, interactive webinar designed to equip lawyers, advocates, and housing professionals with the knowledge they need to advocate effectively for the fair housing rights of individuals with disabilities.

This event will review some basic principles of the federal Fair Housing Act; describe how to build a reasonable accommodations case under the Fair Housing Act; outline HUD processes and disability-related guidance; summarize recent federal DOJ-initiated cases settlements and California-specific processes; and discuss the importance of accessible and affordable housing to community integration. Featuring speakers from HUD, the U.S. Department of Justice, the California Civil Rights Department, and civil rights law firm Relman Colfax PLLC.

2020 brought Disability Law United’s first ever virtual event! Held on September 17, 2020 via Zoom, Disability Law United’s event featured a year-in-review of Disability Law United’s work and the launch of two new Disability Law United videos – one about the Accessibility Project and the other about the Immigration Detention Accountability Project. Disability Law United honored the critical and inspiring work of activist, organizer, and attorney Elisabeth Epps with our 2020 Challenging Discrimination Award. We celebrated Disability Law United’s 2019 Event at the History Colorado Center on September 19th!
